Brenda Cantwell was a Teacher for 22+ years in Missouri, Tennessee, Georgia, and Kentucky; in 5-school districts; and taught kindergarten, 1st grade, and middle school special education. Brenda had such a heart for "her" children! Besides all of the things that a teacher is required to do, she made sure each day, each child was hugged by her, affirmed by her and told "I love you!" by her. These were non-negotiable, even if the child was having trouble behaving properly that day.

The photo above was taken on her last day of teaching at Clark Elementary School in Paducah, KY where she taught for 16 years. Her heart for children was broken by some of the things "her" children suffered when they went home. It was her wish, her vision, her dream, and we (Tom, Hunter, Emily, Brooke, Jordan and Megan) are pleased to announce the formation of the:

"Brenda Cantwell Memorial Foundation for Clark Students"

Her foundation will exist to solely help less fortunate Clark Elementary students, in conjunction with Clark Elementary, Paducah Public Schools and Paducah Bank.

It is with heavy hearts, sprinkled with gladness and hope that we can facilitate one of Brenda's dreams!
